BOOKING Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions shall apply to all bookings AK Travels Pte Ltd, registered and incorporated under the laws of Singapore, 1 Park Road People’s Park Complex #01-K95C [hereinafter referred to as “AK Travels Pte Ltd” or “we”], and the “Customer/ travel agent” [or “you”] and are the terms on which AK Travels Pte Ltd will process a booking whereby the Customer/ travel agent will enter into a contract with the provider of the travel related services including, among others, hotels, apartments, villas, accommodation providers, transfer providers, flight and cruise companies [“Travel Provider”].

1. Your Contract

AK Travels Pte Ltd acts as an interface between the Customer/ travel agent and various third party suppliers of travel services [Travel Suppliers] through which you can book any product[s] as a result of the searches performed through our website or by enquiry over the telephone.  Travel Providers include, but are not limited to, suppliers of hotel / apartment / villa accommodation, hotel chains, transfer services, attractions, flight companies, and cruises.

When AK Travels Pte Ltd processes your booking, the contract will be between the Customer/ travel agent and the Travel Provider.   The Travel Providers' booking conditions will apply to your booking[s] and you must agree to them before AK Travels Pte Ltd can process your booking request.  Please ask us for copies of these if you require them.


2. Legal Capacity of Parties

AK Travels Pte Ltd acts as the Travel Provider’s agent in arranging your booking and the Travel Provider is the principal, or the agent to the principal, and AK Travels Pte Ltd accept no responsibility or liability for the acts or omissions or services provided by the Travel Provider.

AK Travels Pte Ltd is a tour operator, which means we either package or combine travel products, nor act as an organiser. AK Travels Pte Ltd provides a search facility to enable your connection to those who do arrange travel products [either singly or in combination]. Each travel product you choose is a separate booking, independent of other travel products booked at the same time. Where you book more than one travel product, these are not a combination.

The Customer/ travel agent, is under no obligation to book more than one travel product and each travel product can be booked wholly independently of the others. When AK Travels Pte Ltduse the term booking, or order, we do so for your convenience and it refers to either the individual booking or order for one travel product or the multiple bookings you have made at the same time.


3. The Booking

In respect of each and every booking placed with AK Travels Pte Ltd by the Customer/ travel agent, the contract shall in all circumstances between the Customer/ travel agent’s Customer [the “Customer”] and the Travel Provider and AK Travels Pte Ltd shall only accept a booking where at least one member of the party is over 18 years of age and the Customer/ travel agent shall be liable to ensure that this is the case for all bookings it places with AK Travels Pte Ltd.

Once the customer/ Travel Agent has placed a booking with AK Travels Pte Ltd [ensuring the names provided are the same as in the relevant passport], we shall send to you by email:

1] Order Acknowledgement which acts as an advice that we are re-checking final availability with the Travel Provider and is not confirmation of the booking.

2] Booking Confirmation/Accommodation Voucher will then be sent to your email address at which stage the Customer/ travel agent has a confirmed booking with the Travel Provider and this document will contain the booking confirmation reference number of the Travel Provider. This will occur within 5 minutes of the original email.

3] If you do not receive a Booking Confirmation, AK Travels Pte Ltd will contact the telephone number provided at your agent registration stage and/or the login email used for the booking, as it is possible that the service[s] you have attempted to book have become unavailable.

The Customer/ travel agent should check the Booking Confirmation [which acts as a sales invoice and accommodation voucher] and contact AK Travels Pte Ltd immediately by email to [email protected] or by telephone if any information on this document appears to be incorrect or incomplete. This document will provide the name and address of the accommodation booked and a local office contact number, and should be handed into the reception upon the arrival of the Customer.

The Customer/ travel agent shall inform AK Travels Pte Ltd of any special needs requirement[s] that its Customer may have [including but not limited to adapted rooms, medical problem] and you shall not place any booking where there is a special needs requirement[s] until you have received confirmation in writing from AK Travels Pte Ltd that such requirement[s] can be provided by the Travel Provider and that such travel arrangements are suitable.

If the Customer/ travel agent has any special requests [including but not limited to room allocation, dietary requirements] the Customer/ travel agent should advise AK Travels Pte Ltd as soon as possible and we will pass all such requests to the Travel Provider, but unfortunately AK Travels Pte Ltd cannot guarantee that they will be met.


4. Insurance

It is a condition of booking for many service providers that you take out sufficient travel insurance to cover the travel arrangements you have made and we strongly recommend that you take out such insurance.


5. Flights

If you wish to use our facility for bookings flights, you will need to enter into an Agreement with AK Travels Pte Ltd as specific payment terms will need to be agreed as payment for any flight will become payable with immediate effect.


6. Transfers

Transfer providers may provide a taxi transfer with either a taxi, people carrier, or minibus type vehicle. Shuttle coaches are not able to make drops at private addresses [including villas] nor property management companies, or at hotels where the approach roads are inaccessible to coaches. Where the shuttle coach cannot stop directly outside the accommodation due to accessibility issues, the drop-off will occur as near as possible to the accommodation.

It is the responsibility of the Customer/ travel agent to advise AK Travels Pte Ltd of any variation in the flight times before the date of outbound travel. AK Travels Pte Ltd will need at least 72 hours notice to make any amendment to transfers.


7. Gala Meals

Gala meals are provided at many hotels at Christmas and New Year. When the booking is made with AK Travels Pte Ltd the cost of any gala meals is not included in the price unless this is specifically confirmed.


8. Check-in / Check-out Times

Check-in and check-out times will vary with each accommodation, but as a general rule these are: Check-in : 14:00 / Check-out : 12:00

Check-in times will be dependent upon the room being cleaned following the departure of the previous occupier of the room and the Customer may be able to access the room earlier.

The Customer may be able to arrange a late check-out time with the accommodation directly and this may incur an extra charge which will be payable locally.


9. Changes by the Travel Provider or AK Travels Pte Ltd

Occasionally, the Travel Provider or accommodation may need to make a change in which case AK Travels Pte Ltd will pass on the new details to the customer/ Travel Agent as soon as possible and we do not accept liability for any changes or cancellations unless they are due to our own acts or omissions.

In such circumstances AK Travels Pte Ltd shall use reasonable endeavours to source alternative arrangements. If it is not possible to source an alternative or if the alternative arrangements are not to the Customer/ travel agent’s Customer’s satisfaction, a full refund of all monies paid to us shall be processed.


10. Payment Dates / Changes by the Customer/ travel agent

Any amendment or cancellation by a customer/ Travel Agent shall be subject to the relevant Travel Provider’s Terms and Conditions. Such amendment or cancellation terms shall be displayed in the “Summary” section when making a booking online, or will be advised to you by AK Travels Pte Ltdwhen making a booking by telephone. If there are no such terms displayed in the “Summary” section, then the following terms will apply as per travel provider.

[a] No-shows and early departures are charged at 100% of the booking value
[b] Non-Refundable reservations are charged at 100% of the booking value
If the room you have booked is described as Non-Refundable, the cancellation fee will be charged at 100% of the total cost of your booking and supersedes the standard cancellation policy shown above.

Where any amendment or cancellation reduces the number of full paying party members on which the price, number of free places, were based, AK Travels Pte Ltd will recalculate these items and issue a new Booking Confirmation accordingly. If a booking is amended, you will of course be charged for any increase in nights, passengers, rooms, etc.

Cancellations of online bookings should be made via our website in the “My Booking” area. AK Travels Pte Ltd receive a copy of this cancellation showing the date and time it was processed.

If you send us an email to cancel your booking [please send to [email protected] you need to place in the subject of your email the word Cancellation and set out the full details of your booking. It is important to note that this method of cancellation will not become effective until you receive an email back from AK Travels Pte Ltd acknowledging receipt of your cancellation. It is always best practice to try and do any cancellations via the website.

If the customer/ Travel Agent contacts the Travel Provider and/or accommodation directly to make amendments or cancellations, AK Travels Pte Ltd will not consider your booking amended / cancelled as the Customer/ Travel Agent must, at all times, communicate with us regarding such matters.


11. Terms of Payment

Payment must be received into the account of AK Travels Pte Ltd latest 7 days prior to any cancellation term taking effect. Payment is to be made into the appropriate account in accordance with the currency shown on the booking confirmation:

Payments can be made by Paypal or, or by bank transfer. If payment is made by bank transfer then the customer/ Travel Agent must send a copy of the bank transfer to [email protected] on the date the transfer has been processed. All bank charges are to be the responsibility of, and are to be paid by, the Customer (payor). Card payments cannot be made accepted..

It is important to note that if payment is not received into the above account by the correct date, the booking will be automatically cancelled by the system / Travel Provider.

Payment for non-refundable bookings is due upon confirmation of the booking.


12. Financial Security

AK Travels Pte Ltd accepts payments by all cards via PayPal which provides you with the following benefits:

. Possibility for payment by instalments
. Payments are guaranteed against services being provided

PayPal allows any business or individual with an email address to securely, conveniently and cost-effectively send and receive payments online enabling you to check out simply and more securely at thousands of online shops. You don’t have to type in your card details and personal information.

PayPal is being increasingly used on e-commerce sites for the sale of goods such as electronics and household items, the sale of services such as web design and travel, and the sale of digital content. When you pay with PayPal on any website, if your purchase doesn't arrive or match its description then Paypal can help you get all your money back.


13. Website Accuracy

AK Travels Pte Ltd will endeavour to ensure that the details of all products, including prices, displayed on our website are accurate. However, due to the large number of hotels and other products offered it is inevitable that mistakes may arise. As the information you are shown is being transmitted live from the relevant Travel Provider’s IT system, we cannot accept liability for these errors.

However, in cases where details other than price are materially incorrect, AK Travels Pte Ltd will offer the customer/ Travel Agent the choice of continuing with the booking or cancelling with a full refund of any monies paid on the booking concerned.

Where inaccuracies relate to the understatement of the price of a specific product the customer/Travel Agent will be offered either a full refund or any monies paid on the booking concerned or the opportunity to maintain that booking at the corrected cost.

There may be small differeces between the actual accommodation and its description. Occasionally, some facilities or services may become unavailable at the accommodation or in the vicinity, or may not be fully functional in early or late season. AK Travels Pte Ltd accept no responsibility for such changes or closures to area amenities or attractions or for inaccuracies concerning accommodation descriptions other than in the case of our negligence. Images contained on our website are for representation purposes and may not reflect the actual room you are allocated.

From time-to-time building work and its associated noise is unavoidable in resort and although we do not control such work and we do not always receive advance notice of when it is scheduled, AK Travels Pte Ltd will notify the customer/ Travel Agent as soon as possible of such building works if we believe such work will affect the Customer.

The website may contain links to other websites and except where they belong to Combo Holidays, such other websites are not under our control or maintained by us. We are not responsible for the content of such websites and these links are provided for the convenience of Customer/ travel agents and AK Travels Pte Ltd do not monitor or endorse the material on them.

You will see in certain areas of this website, such as, but limited to, the Weekly Deals section, where properties are rated by 'palm trees'. This method of rating is for indication purposes only and if the Customer/ travel agent is reliant on the official rating of such properties displayed then an enquiry should be made with us before any booking is confirmed with the Travel Provider. Hotels are rated 1-5 stars [occasionally higher], apartments 1-4 keys and Nile Cruises have a different system rating and different destinations may have their own system.


14. Complaints

In the unlikely event that the Customer has a reason to complain or experience any problem whilst in resort, the Customer must immediately inform the Travel Provider in question and report the issue to the reception / hotel management.  The majority of problems can be dealt with quickly and resolved at the time.  If the complaint is unable to be resolved by talking to the hotel management and the Travel Provider, the Customer/ travel agent should contact Combo Holidays.  However if the Customer remains dissatisfied, the Customer/ travel agent must write to AK Travels Pte Ltd within 28 days of the conclusion of the service to [email protected]

AK Travels Pte Ltd shall forward any complaints received to the accommodation / relevant Travel Provider.  As we act as agent for the principal concerned, AK Travels Pte Ltd cannot accept any liability for the arrangements and any assistance provided in resolving a complaint is provided on a goodwill basis.


15. Behaviour of the Customer

Upon placement of any booking, the Customer accepts responsibility for any damage or loss caused by any member of the party and full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid direct at the time to the principal or Travel Provider.  If the Customer fails to do so, the Customer/ travel agent will be responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against AK Travels Pte Ltd [together with any legal costs.

The Travel Provider and/or principal reserves the right at any time to terminate the Customer’s [or any member of the party] stay/transfer or any other arrangement due to misconduct where justified in the Travel Provider’s and/or principal’s opinion and in such circumstances no refunds will be given, nor any compensation, costs or expenses met as a result of such termination.


16. Pricing

AK Travels Pte Ltd sells at gross rates to Customer/ travel agents.  The customer/ Travel Agent will need to ensure that the correct currency is selected at all times to display the appropriate rate, and all payments made to AK Travels Pte Ltd are to be in the currency displayed on the Booking Confirmation.  Currencies can be shown in


17. Indemnity

The Customer/ travel agent hereby undertakes to indemnify AK Travels Pte Ltd and holds AK Travels Pte Ltd harmless against any claim made against it in respect of any matters arising as a result of the negligence of and/or breach of these Terms and Conditions by the Customer/ travel agent.


18. Limitation of Liability

Your booking is directly with the Travel Provider or hotel and AK Travels Pte Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability for any complaint, loss, damage, expense or other claim in respect of any aspect of the booking by the Customer/ travel agent.  Specifically, we will not be liable for any act or omission by any person not employed directly by AK Travels Pte Ltd and although we have chosen our Travel Providers with care, we have no control over Travel Providers and so cannot be held responsible for any act or omission for the Travel Providers or their servants, agents or employees.

Moreover, AK Travels Pte Ltd accepts no liability where the performance of our obligations to the Customer/ travel agent is prevented by reason of “Force Majeure”. Force Majeure includes Acts of God; hurricane, tornado and other weather conditions; labour strike, lockout or other industrial disturbances (excluding those directly involving the employees of the party claiming Force Majeure); war, riot, sabotage, act of public enemy, terrorist act or gang violence; blockade; earthquake or other earth movement, flood or other natural disaster; bomb blast or other explosion; fire; power failure; hacking; failure of the Internet (or parts/aspects of it); government action that prevents performance; or other reasons beyond the reasonable control of the affected party.
